Holy Cow. I can't believe I'm home already. As I was standing in the airport, my mind kept telling me that I was going to Guatemala, not leaving. thats how short this trip felt. But anyway, heres my travel day.
So saturday night we had team time until around 12:00 (midnight). From there, we all went back to our rooms but some of the team had to leave at 2:45am for the airport. So anyway, I stayed up until 2:00 with the other people that were gonna leave early.
(Aubrey's note-THANK YOU TYLERR!!!!)
when they left at 2:45, I helped clean up some rooms that were left a complete mess and then just kinda walked around because I didn't want to wake up my roommates. finally at 6:00 everyone got up and then we left by 7:30. From there, the rest of the day flew by. we got to miami after a 3 hour flight. From there, we said goodbye at baggage claim (which is always the hardest part of the trip.) and then my group that was leaving that day went to get our bags checked in. after saying goodbye to the others that were going to different terminals, heather and I went to our terminal where we met up with Lexi. for the next like 5 hours we just chilled, talked, played card games, ect... and then we boarded the plane for the last time. around 12:45 we landed in Philadelphia, met with my family, and then headed back home. the last time i looked at the clock before i fell asleep was about 2:30am.
Its pretty hard to describe what it's like to be home now. I miss guatemala and my team so much but I have to remember that i have a whole other life here at home. but now it's time to take what i've seen and learned and apply it to everything here.
so i guess you could say that this is the beginning of a whole other adventure...
the adventure of our lives.

holy cow tyler...its so weird being home. The reality of being back in the USA did not hit until we pulled into my driveway. craziness.
these two weeks felt like forever, but so fast too. I miss everybody like crazy and it hurts not seeing the family (team) every morning again. =(
good luck with football practice today. yikes! haha I will be enjoying watching a movie. =D
aww lexi, i feel ya there. alrighty well you have fun with that movie. :)
Lexi sounds like she's settled back in! Movies are perrrrfect for relaxing. :P
Tyler, as I was reading your post, I realized you said exactly what I forgot to say on the phone today. I had meant to tell you, when you said "depression"(which BTW, my mom said is ridiculous, considering you always have a smile on your face.. Haha.) Anyway, I meant to say that you can do the exact same thing here. The people in Guatemala needed/need your help, yes. But also the people right in Downingtown. :)
Keep glorifying Him at home! :D
Oh, and get better. No being rough at football. ;D
haha thanks jackie. :)
tyler, i feel the exact same way.
im going to miss everyone so unbelievably much and the trip went by so fast. i still cant believe im home. it is the weirdest thing not eating breakfast with team 6, having something other than pb&j for lunch and not doing the drama. its just im bored out of my mind because i dont have anything to do!! but now that we're home, we have to take what we've learned and apply it to our lives (like you said) and share the gospel with people in our own community :].
Sounds like an amazing trip Tyler! While you can't believe that two weeks have just flown by, I still can't believe that a whole year has flown by for me! It seems like just yesterday I was coming home from a Never the Same experience.
Praise God for such a wonderful trip! I'm glad for everyone who went back!
aww thanks so much liberty!
It seems like you guys had so much fun in Guatemala, but, Heather and Tyler, we've totally missed you here in Pennsylvania! So glad you guys are back!
