I found some of these video clips on YouTube from the trip last year. I think they're great. They gave me goosebumps. I am so excited to go back. To hug these kids. To love on them. To show them the love of Christ. To help them to Never Be the Same too.
OOOOOK, this one is just for fun. Cause I thought it was hilarious...Jaeger Ackerman, Aaron Winter-Hartley (a part of our blog last year) and Jed Johnson...LOL! Crazy children. Jed is a leader on my mom's team this year...hah! C;
This was a skit that was done in Guatemala by some of the students. To be honest, the only person I remember is Glenn Hartranft (Jesus) This is really moving.

hahah the singing one is hilarious! That everything skit is amazing...I remember watching it somewhere else and cried the whole way through! so powerful!
btw...I AM SOOOOOO PUMPED FOR THIS TRIP!!!! Seriously, I am walking around with butterflies in my stomach all day, every day. It doesnt help either that I keep watching these videos and getting to know my team!!!
i have NO idea how I am going to make it on the plane ride to Miami. Or how I'm going to be able to sleep the night before I fly to Miami. Or waiting the whole day before I go to sleep before flying to Miami. holy cow I'm going to be pacing my house! hahaha
does anyone besides me want to go run around the neighborhood screaming, "ONLY 20 MORE DAYS!!!!"

i seriously don't care...I mean, I'd rather NOT have to hold my arms up for 90% of the drama, but I'm fine with whatever I get. I think being one of the people who get to jump up and down and be kicked around by the cats would be cool...but I won't die if I'm picked for something else. =)
How about you? I hear tyler has been the prince and soldier in past years. But I wonder whats going to happen this year with 8 guys on my team. More guy cats I guess....

i kinda sorta...okay REALLY want to be the princess. it's just totally opposite of me, but i think i'd love it. it would be SUCH a fun part to play!
yeah...well, there are 3 main guy parts, and then guys can be photographers, baseball players, mimes and kats. there's plenty of spots. C:

When we get to Miami, we have "auditions". They have you do different expressions. They'd say "Pretend to be a princess in love," so you'd pose and try to look like that. "Pretend to be a clown." "Here, I'm going to throw you this air ball. Catch it and throw it to someone else." "Pretend this is the first time you've seen a ball. Play with it throw it around." "Pretend you're evil and casting a spell on someone." "Do a scary intimidating pose" "Pretend you're scared". "Pretend to be greedy and hold you money to yourself." etc.
They also asked who of the girls had had dance training before. All the girls who did then just did a few turns, pirouettes, and jumps across the floor (whatever they wanted). This was to see who would be best at being the Spanish dancer.
Then they asked who could do cartwheels and to show them. (Some of the mimes do cartwheels).
And there was just stuff like that. They also had you fight in slow motion without touching the other person. Two people would be pared together and one person would swing their arm at the other person (but not touch them) and the other person would respond to the "blow".
gah thats SOOOOOO cool. yup I'm offically too excited. just sayin
